Welcome to episode# 46 as we make fun and put into our hatebook, the 1983 hit  #57 on the list: Mean Girls (Mark Waters, 2004)

Summary: Raised in the African bush country by her zoologist parents, Cady Heron thinks she knows all about the “survival of the fittest”. But the law of the jungle takes on a whole new meaning when the home-schooled 16-year old enters public high school for the first time. Trying to find her place between jocks, mathletes, and other subcultures, Cady crosses paths with the meanest species of all – the Queen Bee, aka the cool and calculating Regina George, leader of the school’s most fashionable clique, the Plastics. When Cady falls for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels, though, the Queen Bee is stung – and she schemes to destroy Cady’s social future. Cady’s own claws soon come out as she leaps into a hilarious “Girl World” war that has the whole school running for cover.

Indeed_Movies_#58_Zelig

Welcome to episode# 45 as we hit  #58 on the list: Zelig (Woody Allen, 1983)

Summary: Fictional documentary about the life of human chameleon Leonard Zelig, a man who becomes a celebrity in the 1920s due to his ability to look and act like whoever is around him. Clever editing places Zelig in real newsreel footage of Woodrow Wilson, Babe Ruth, and others.

Keefe and Chris bring you a Woody Allen film that didn’t totally gag us.   Great visuals, and interesting story.  I can say a somewhat positive viewing..oh and Woody doesn’t talk in the film very much…..which my be a cause to celebrate.

Indeed_Movies_#71_The Royal Tenenbaums

Welcome to episode #32- #71 The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) directed by Wes Anderson

Summary:

Royal Tenenbaum and his wife Etheline had three children–Chas, Richie, and Margot–they were a family of geniuses and then they separated. Chas started buying real estate in his early teens and seemed to have had a preternatural understanding of international finance. Margot was a playwright and received a Braverman grant of fifty thousand dollars in the ninth grade. Richie was a junior champion tennis player and won the U.S. Nationals three years in a row. Virtually all memory of the brilliance of the young Tenenbaums was subsequently erased by two decades of betrayal, failure and disaster. Most of this was generally considered to be their father’s fault. The tale follows the family’s sudden and unexpected reunion one recent winter.

Keefe, Paxton and Chris take a long…I mean very long journey into a film about a punchline.   That’s it…all about a joke.  You know what… forget it.  I am going home….
